Our policies are designed to ensure the safe operation of our fleet, the protection of the marine environment, and the well-being of all personnel.

POLLUTION PREVENTION POLICY

Dhanveir prioritizes sustainable and responsible ship operations. Our pollution prevention objectives are to:

  • Ensure Safety at Sea
  • Prevent Injury or Loss of Life
  • Avoid Environmental Damage
  • Strive for Cleaner Oceans

To meet these objectives, we strictly adhere to:

  • The International Safety Management (ISM) Code
  • IMO regulations and resolutions
  • Guidelines from Flag States, Classification Societies, and other maritime bodies

All ship operations are conducted under a structured Safety Management System (SMS), with a focus on safe practices, risk assessment, training, and emergency preparedness.

DRUGS AND ALCOHOL POLICY

Dhanveir enforces a strict Zero Tolerance Policy on the use, possession, or distribution of drugs, alcohol, weapons, or explosive substances on all company premises and vessels.

  • Employees are prohibited from consuming alcohol or drugs while on duty.
  • Random testing may be conducted by the company to ensure compliance.
  • Violation of this policy is grounds for immediate termination and legal action.
  • Masters and officers are required to ensure that the vessel operates with a fully sober and capable crew at all times.

ORGANIZATION RESPONSIBILITY & AUTHORITY

Dhanveir has a clear and defined operational structure to ensure accountability at every level:

  • Dhanveir is the principal operator and manager of all acquired vessels.
  • Overall responsibility lies with the Managing Director and Board.
  • Chartering & Operations: Assigned to a dedicated director.
  • Technical & Maintenance: Overseen by a designated technical director.
  • Crew Management: Managed by a specific crew operations director.
  • Administration: Supervised by an administrative director.
  • Finance & Auditing: Handled by the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO).
  • Vice Presidents manage key functional areas as per organizational needs.
  • Onboard vessels, the Master holds the highest operational authority.
  • Dhanveir supports its fleet using both internal resources and external agencies.

SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION POLICY

We believe that safety and environmental responsibility go hand in hand. Our policy mandates that every function — both ashore and onboard — adheres to the following key principles:

  • Eliminate hazards and minimize risks to life, property, and the environment.
  • Implement an effective Safety Management System to prevent incidents.
  • Conduct internal audits and reviews after accidents or hazardous events.
  • Promote a strong safety culture among all personnel, emphasizing individual accountability.
  • Continuously improve operational procedures based on experience, audits, and reviews.
  • Ensure all personnel are properly trained and competent in their roles.
  • Regularly conduct emergency drills and preparedness exercises.
  • Maintain all vessels in full statutory and classification compliance.
  • Keep all statutory certificates current and valid.
  • Apply IMO, Flag State, and industry standards as part of our operational framework.

RESOURCES & PERSONNEL STANDARDS

At Dhanveir, our people are our strength. We maintain:

  • Trained and Certified Seafarers across all vessel operations.
  • Continuous crew training programs and certification tracking.
  • Deployment of qualified Masters and crew for every voyage.
  • Compliance with Flag State and Port State Control (PSC) requirements.
  • Valid onboard Documents of Compliance (DOC) and Safety Management Certificates (SMC).
  • Pre-joining familiarization for new crew with onboard systems and procedures.
  • Routine Safety Management Meetings and emergency drills on each vessel.
  • Commitment to continuous education on maritime codes, regulations, and guidelines.

MASTER’S RESPONSIBILITY & AUTHORITY

On every Dhanveir-operated vessel, the Master represents the company at sea and holds full operational authority. Responsibilities include:

  • Enforcing the company’s Safety & Environmental Protection Policy onboard.
  • Ensuring all crew members are aware of and follow safety protocols.
  • Issuing clear orders and ensuring safe conduct of operations.
  • Reporting any deficiencies or incidents to shore-based management.
  • Taking necessary action in emergencies with full authority.
  • Coordinating with the office for support while at sea, anchorage, or port.
  • Managing onboard crew wages and reporting to company accounts.
